It is Fuziah Salleh vs Fu Ah Kiaw…again

That was the result of the announcements earlier by the parties of both candidates. It would have been a great contest had there been a complete assurance that the SPR and the rest of the interim machineries were diligent in a free and fair election. Alas, the labelling of the SPR by a lot of people as the 15th component of the BN made it quite the opposite. The last election saw huge funds pumped into Kuantan to woo voters. Fu Ah Kiaw, now became the prominent figure in MCA, with Soi Lek and Kong Choy gone. That prominence may command him much resource to deploy during this coming election as anticipated by some political observers.
Fuziah Salleh had called for an open debate with Fu Ah Kiaw in any public space conveniently witnessed by the citizens of Kuantan. She expressed that they may debate about anything under the sun. Of course, appropriately touching upon issues connected with the rakyat’s lives – economy, business, education, health, housing, increased cost of living, etc.
Fu Ah Kiaw should take up the challenge proposed by Fuziah Salleh. After all, he looked to be the more experienced and knowledgeable about the rakyat’s issues, government and politics. He ought not to have any fear of such a debate.
L et us see this time round…if Fu Ah Kiaw is man enough to face Fuziah Salleh in an open debate.
